The number of children being bullied has risen significantly in recent years according to watchdog, OFCOM

UK based Community Interest Company; The Safety Guide Foundation has teamed up with former Olympic boxer, Robin Reid to help tackle bullying in UK schools

The Manchester based foundation and Reid have been touring primary schools with professional boxer, Stuart Maddox, giving educational and informative question and answer sessions across the country to help educate schools on bullying and the social issues surrounding the topic.

About 42 percent of kids have been bullied while online with one in four being verbally attacked more than once.

The time in education is the most formative years of a child’s life which is why students need to be protected from being picked on and harassed at school according to The Safety Guide Foundation Director, Matthew Ralphs

“More than half of children at school have been bullied in one way or another.  Our aim is to help provide information to parents and children alike about bullying and the experiences of bullies and the bullied”

“Robin joined forces with us to highlight to children that no matter what happens during their time at school, they can leave education and go on to be huge success stories in whatever they do”

Reid and the Safety Guide Foundation will continue to provide thought-provoking, inspirational sessions to schools throughout the year on a variety of societal topics from knife-crime to bullying and online grooming.
